Fontainebleau Felines!

July 18, 2020 by kittynh

It is still virus lockdown and heat and humidity misery here in New Hampshire.

There is only one way to deal with a pandemic, do some low stress junk journaling.

I found this lovely old tourist book with what seems like hand tinted pages of Fontainebleau, the playground of the decadent and doomed royals in France.

I can’t resist adding cats to anything. So this tourist book has become what would Fontainebleau have been like if an uprising by the cats instead of the the people had taken place?

I give you, “Fontainebleau Felines”!

I’m also including a few with some color differences. I want to try some in sepia.

I have a bigger long term project, a book, that I’m working on slowly.  But, sometimes you need to do something fun and low key.  This is my low key/stress free fun.

And now some color changed ones:

I’m not sure if it gives the picture a more aged look, or if I like the original highly colored tinted pages.

….and just black and white.

Thank for putting up with the silliness.  Everyone please, stay safe, and look to see if anyone around you might need some help.  While we have to keep socially distant, we can be close in our hearts via a fun card or email!  Though I don’t know what my friends are going to think of a cats gone wild card.

These felines are having way too much fun on lockdown. What, no masks?

sadly, I think these photographs were taken before the virus….and now they are all trapped in the palace, as they were there on a group tour and have to stay in France until the US opens up again. Of course these are all American cats, that have not enough culture to NOT scratch the furnishings and walk on the marble….
