SPIRULINA – Super Food or Super Dangerous?

I’ve written about this “Super Food” before.
I’m posting an update, with a photograph of how the person who is working with spirulina is dressed while working with it in a lab.
So if you see advertising like THIS….you should beware of any product that promises so much. Over the top advertising is always a red flag. Those long lists of side effects you see on advertising for prescription medication are there for a reason. Everything you put in your body, has some effect on it.
Nature makes a lot of stuff “for free”. Arsenic. Influenza. Venomous cobras.
Just because “Nature makes it for free” does not mean it is good for you.
But this is suspected in so many bad things, that I can’t begin to list them all. Let’s consider if it does prove to be safe. Not likely considering the research, but let’s suppose it does show up to be safe. It’s not going to hurt you to avoid taking this for a few years while the research is being finished.
It’s really not going to hurt you to NOT feed it to your children.
Also if you see green slimy stuff growing in a lake, just avoid it if possible.
Now even the well known doctors of questionable advice, are saying to avoid these products. When doctors to the “stars” begin to say “Avoid please!” it’s a sign that the worry about spirulina is valid. When they stop promoting the “Nature made” for “This may not be good” it’s a sign the research might be on the right track.
So please, don’t get the green smoothie with the super food. If nothing else don’t feed it to your children.
