This holiday shopping season is ONLINE. The Corona Virus cases are surging and I worried about how to support local businesses and also non profits. What I’ve discovered is my favorite non profit to support, the Cheshire County Historical Society offers online shopping.

If you live in the area, you can do shopping online and easy pickup at the Historical Society, or the shop is now open for in person shopping.

Since I am high risk, I’m choosing the shop online and have gifts sent to the recipients. This saves me a trip to the Post Office, and I can just order online from the safety of my home.

This video will give you a taste of what the shop is like. You may notice some of the gnomes and other wool felted items I donate to the shop to sell. If you ask for a gnome or sheep, they might be able to ship one for you!

So enjoy shopping at the Museum Store, or consider a non profit museum store where you live. This year has been tough on non profits that depend on visitors and people attending events.

I especially want the Historical Society to be able to safely keep our local history, and share the history of the area via special events and programs.

This year let’s shop local, and don’t forget to include that local non profit!
