Believe it or not… magic squares!

I was peeking through an old book once owned by my grandmother, a 1934 edition of “Ripley’s Believe it or Not”. As a child, I loved to look through it, perhaps an early influence that lead to my becoming a skeptic as an adult!
There on one page was a “magic square”. I have a fondness for “Magic Squares” especially since I’m friends with Ethan Brown. He’s has mad “math skills”, but no one can beat him at doing a “Magic Square”. I’ve heard there is a trick that magicians use when they fill in a “Magic Square”, but Ethan’s requires his terrific math ability (which he has developed and practiced, he’s not just a natural genius!).
Here is my Ripley’s “Magic Square”
However, if you want to be REALLY impressed, watch this video of Ethan doing his world’s hardest Magic Square.

Well, the first thing you do with that fractional one is multiply by 360 🙂
